Grant Writer (part-time)

Overview :

We are currently seeking a part-time Grant Writer to join our team in White Plains, NY. In this role, the Grant Writer will be responsible for researching grant opportunities; developing, writing and submitting grant proposals to foundation, government and corporate funding sources; and editing and submitting grant reports.

The salary range is $35.00-$45.00 per hour.

Responsibilities :

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

Supporting the management of a growing portfolio of grants / contracts, identifying opportunities and maximizing support from current, lapsed and new funders .

Writing and submitting high-quality, innovative and compelling letters of inquiry, proposals and grant reports.

Researching, writing and coordinating grants for all WJCS Programs.

Researching potential funding opportunities.

Developing proposals in conjunction with program staff.

Responding to staff requests for data, written and other information to support funder relations.

Requirements :

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field

Excellent written and communication skills

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

Ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals

Strong editing skills and attention to detail

Ability to meet deadlines
