Job Summary
- Oversees the flow of inventory into and out of the warehouse, from ordering, storage, maintenance, loading and shipment. Responsible for performing the functions of inventory analysis, control and the system maintenance integrity, to insure adequate and economical supply of stock materials for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of Inventory Control System
- Issues/Credits supplies to departments as required. . Enters Special requests within 1 hour of contact from the requesting department and prepare for delivery.
- Gathers par-ex/requisitioner’s automatic requisitions and places on picking table. Receives shipments and enters into inventory system within 2 hours of receipt of materials and packing list.
- Completes all/most requisition corrections by 11am.
- Runs and reviews recommended order report and verifies amounts against shelf quantities on hand. Performs Weekly order requisitions on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday before 12:00pm.
- Inventory
- Assists with performing perpetual inventory; maintains System control to ensure all information in the system is accurate including (item number, description, unit of measure, stocking location, etc.). Works with little supervision. Oversees inventory, picking, receiving, restock, transport and delivery. Fills in for Receiving Coordinator as directed.
- Verify shelf quantity versus system information. Execute justification process based on receipt of goods.
- Tracks and adjusts maximum and reorder quantities based on weekly/monthly usage to ensure correct reorder quantities
- Communicates with customers/purchasing on stock movement and/or problems. Makes decisions involving department needs with minimal supervision
- Personal computer data entry, writes reports, creates spread-sheets for Supply Chain,. Completes all logs as required including phone call log, expired products, courier log, cycle counts log etc.
- Fills in for/assists Inventory Support Techs delivering supplies to Hospital departments and Par-ex areas. Communicates with staff on nursing units about any special needs.
- Identify stock out items based on system back orders and communicates any issues to Supervisor and/or Manager daily. Notify purchasing if emergency order is required. Resolve all stocking and receiving discrepancies. These tasks are performed daily.
- Answer phones within 4 rings and/or monitor voicemail messages. Records all requests and maintains good customer service for all departments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- EXPERIENCE
- Two to three years of general office experience preferred, Materials handling experience preferred.
EDUCATION- General office procedures, data entry/typing skills, proven ability to keep accurate records, computer training preferred (Word, Excel), ability to move from one task to another with ease.
- High School diploma/GED.
