As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll play a vital role in welcoming families into our practice and helping coordinate their care. To support our delivery of quality patient care, you will:
- Greet patients and families in a friendly professional manner
- Promptly answer the telephones and respond appropriately to patient calls, messages and inquiries
- Schedule patient appointments
- Collect all necessary registration and insurance information and enter into the EMR
- Collect patient balances, deductibles and copays
- Maintain an efficient patient flow through the registration process and provide excellent customer service to patients/families
- Communicate proactively with co-workers, physicians, and patients regarding registration and schedule related information.
- Inform patients of delay in physician schedules, assists with patient comfort while delayed.
- Post all self-pay charges and payments and provide families with receipts.
- Enroll patients in the patient portal.
- Insurance eligibility verification.
What we are looking for:
High School graduate or equivalent required;
Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills required.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with short time-lines, prioritize and organize work, and complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
Exceptional ability to interact and communicate effectively, tactfully, and diplomatically with patients, families, medical staff, co-workers, employers and insurance company representatives.
Must have a pleasant disposition, positive attitude and possess the ability to maintain a friendly and professional approach during periods of stress.
