Position Overview:
White Plains Hospital is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Cardiac Surgery ICU team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of perioperative care for cardiac patients in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team.
3x12.5 hours / Nights 6:30pm to 7:00 am
Salary: $168,000-$ 252,000 ( for full time based on years of experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily patient rounds with the multidisciplinary cardiac services team
- Develop and implement patient care plans, perform bedside procedures, and follow ACLS protocols
- Write orders for medications, labs, and diagnostic tests; interpret test results
- Coordinate patient discharges/transfers and provide patient/family education
- Ensure documentation complies with coding, billing, and regulatory standards
- Perform invasive bedside procedures as required
- Assist in the operating room: endoscopic and open conduit harvesting, first assist in cardiac surgeries
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current National Certification
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery APP experience
- Proficiency in endoscopic conduit harvesting
- Current New York State licensure, DEA, BLS, ACLS, and Infection Control Certification required
