Under the direction of the Senior Director of Admissions the Domestic Admissions Advisor - Nursing is responsible for nurturing and enrolling a diverse and high-achieving student population while meeting goals and deadline with a high degree of professionalism. The Admissions Advisor is responsible for proactively managing their inquiry and applicant pipeline; processing applications, and identifying and developing new recruitment and process improvement opportunities..
Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, contact, and maintain relationships with prospective students throughout the inquiry, application, and enrollment phases
Complete a high volume of outbound inquiries and applicant calls, while also promptly responding to incoming emails with a strong focus on customer service
Advise prospective applicants on the various stages of the admissions process and create urgency regarding deadlines and application requirements
Review and process applications while working closely with other university departments to ensure applications are handled accurately and in a timely manner
Schedule and host recruitment events, including campus tours, information sessions, individual consultations, and admissions interviews, to determine a prospective student's interests and goals
Enter and compile admissions data into the CRM system, including daily activities and even information. Generate reports as needed
Adhere to all university and regulatory rules and requirements
Able to work with people from a variety of diverse social and economic backgrounds
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Dynamic person with successful sales or customer service experience who can nurture and guide prospective students and applicants.
Experience exceeding quotas, striving for results in a metric-driven environment
Combine effective closing skills and a goal-oriented drive with a supportive, student-focused approach
Ability to take ownership of the inquiry and application funnel: Strong follow-up, organization, exceptional time management, and problem-solving skills
Adaptable and agile, with an ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence others internally and externally
Solution-oriented, with the ability to connect student needs with University offerings
Data processing, reporting skills, and confidentiality. Computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office and Google Suite preferred
Self-motivated and compassionate
Ability to make independent decisions and manage multiple projects and work well in a team environment
Knowledge of and commitment to regulatory and college enrollment policies, standards, and procedures
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
5 years of customer service, sales, marketing, or recruiting
3-5 years of Admissions experience with nursing programs.
