What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at WESTconsin Credit Union?
Our Accounting Department is expanding and we're adding a position of Financial Analyst to our team. Your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive financial insights to support strategic decision-making. This position prepares and delivers critical reports, including member statistics, financial performance, liquidity, profitability, and budget variance analysis, for management and board members.
Must reside in WI or MN as regular onsite work in Menomonie, WI will be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare periodic reports to be used by management, board members, and employees
- Respond to ad hoc requests for reporting by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data accurately to identify trends and insights
- Develop and analyze strategies that help the credit union achieve its financial goals
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts based on historical data and market trends
- Lead the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports, including ALM risk assessments, financial trends, key ratios, and Board reports.
- Conduct profitability analyses for products, services, and business lines, making strategic recommendations to improve financial performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field
- Minimum of four years working in Finance/Accounting required with three years financial analyst preferred
- Financial institution experiences preferred
- Advanced experience in MS Excel along with data analytic platforms and SQL preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with all team members and stakeholders
