What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Security Analyst (must reside in WI / MN) position at WESTconsin Credit Union?
Our Information Technology Department is expanding and we're adding a position of IT Security Analyst to our team! Your responsibilities will include reviewing and maintaining IT Security systems and helping protect the Credit Union from intrusions and internal IT security events. Works with other departments and leaders for securing IT systems and services and following industry standards. Administers, manages, and operates the core banking system. Must reside in WI or MN.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Reviews and prepares reports from systems. Brings issues to attention of management and provides recommendations on remediation, correction, or implementation of solutions
- Collaborates with Supervisor to prioritize projects and helpdesk items
- Assists with auditing and examiners to resolve IT Security issues through resolving findings, reducing risk from findings, and preparing for exams and audits. Partners with VPs of areas to help recommendation remediation or elimination of findings from internal or external audits and exams
- Works daily with IT Security systems including our core banking system, SIEM, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, and other systems to help identify issues and prevent issues
- Responsible for ensuring the IT Operations team is patching within our policy or elevating to the VP
- Provides training on Social Engineering prevention to internal members and CUSO's with virtual and / or on-site based training. Oversees anti-phishing testing campaigns and trainings
- Helps write and update the IT Security Policy for the Credit Union by providing suggestions and recommendations
- Assists other departments on projects that requires an IT Security perspective view and / or testing as needed
