Job OverviewThe Survivor Response Program Manager (SRPM) will oversee the functions and coverage of our 24/7 Helpline and Hospital Advocacy services to ensure thorough follow up for clients as well as coordinate our volunteers who will assist in the functions of our services. The SRPM will provide supervision, training, delegation and evaluation to the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Advocate, Sexual Violence Prevention Community Educator and the DCJS Bilingual Advocate and oversee the overall program deliverables. The SRPM provides professional knowledge of evidence based concepts, principles, procedure and practices for survivors.
Responsibilities and Duties

• Recruit, train and co-supervise volunteers for both the helpline and hospital advocacy services.
• Co-facilitate meetings and conduct training for volunteers on a monthly basis.
• Uphold best practices in serving survivors of sexual violence as per local, state and nation wide guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training to ensure the program’s response supports survivor centered, trauma informed and culturally competent response and care.
• Work with the Management Support Team and Leadership Team on program proposals, program implementation and staff training on grant requirements as needed.
• Participate in community outreach and engagement efforts to bring awareness to the community at large about VAS services.
• Provide training and education to professionals, first responders and community partners on VAS services, sexual violence and trauma informed care for other services providers, law enforcement, college and universities and other community agencies.
• Attend community events, monthly meetings, quarterly task force meetings and annual conferences.
• Provides crisis intervention, safety planning, and information/referrals to victims of crime, advocates for clients in various systems, accompanies to hospital and CAC and files OVS applications.
• Provide grant reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required by the agency and funders.
• Coordinate VAS response to the Child Advocacy Center.
• Participate in Staff Back up Rotation (SBU) approximately 6 times per year
• Advocacy responsibilities when needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Required and MA/MS Preferred (Social Services, Criminal Justice, Counseling, etc)
• 3 or more years supervisory experience
• Must have strong knowledge of MS Office (including strong excel skills) and G-Suite (Google Drive and Google applications)
• Excellent writing, public speaking and presentation skills.
• Highly motivated and self-starter with a strong commitment to advocating for the rights of survivors.
• Driver’s license and car required (for client accompaniment and agency meetings)

Starting salary: $62- $64,000

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
