Position Summary:
We have an immediate need for a full-time Shop Manager at our Ames, IA facility. As a Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance and operation of our rental fleet assets and shop facilities.
Some of the work that you will do:
- Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees supporting asset maintenance activities.
- Prioritize the maintenance requests and activities and schedule labor as needed.
- Assist and ensure safety of loading and unloading rental equipment from trucks, ensuring proper handling and organization.
- Coordinate labor to assist in inspecting rental units to ensure they are in good working condition and comply with safety requirements.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Logistics, and onsite Warehouse for Rental Asset shipping and receiving.
- Ensure preventative maintenance tasks on rental assets are completed.
- Survey premises and equipment to ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shop area.
- Conduct routine inspections of the shop equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Other duties as asked or required.

- Ability to give instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid unexpired driver's license.

- Previous experience in a leadership role.
- Welding and/or Forklift certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills.
