Some Of The Work That You Will Do
- Safely load and unload rental equipment from trucks, ensuring proper handling and organization.
- Assist in inspecting rental units to ensure they are in good working condition and comply with safety requirements.
- Test and perform repairs on rental assets.
- Assist in conducting preventative maintenance tasks on rental assets.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop area.
- Help ensure shop equipment is in good working order by performing basic maintenance tasks.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including verifying items received against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Learn to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to safety guidelines.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to diagnose problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Understanding of the principles and concepts underlying the systems and equipment they work with.
- Ability to identify and isolate faults in systems and equipment.
- Valid unexpired driver's license.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.
- Previous experience in a Maintenance or Shop Technician role.
- Experience with a forklift, telehandler, and/or scissor lift.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Depending on the specialization, proficiency in electrical, mechanical, or both fields.
- Welding/Fabricating experience is a plus, but not required.
- This position may involve occasional lifting of heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
