Job Description Summary :
The General Clerk III works under the general supervision of the Subsistence Supply Management Office (SSMO) Supervisor and the direct supervision of the SSMO Lead at Schofield Barracks, AFSBn-HI. This role supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC) logistics contract, providing essential administrative and supply chain management functions. The position requires a strong understanding of Army supply procedures and policies, as well as the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external contract locations and military customers. The General Clerk III ensures operational requirements are met in compliance with Army regulations, the performance work statement (PWS), and company policies.
This position involves technical supply chain management tasks, including asset requisition, receipt, inventory, issue, classification, redistribution, turn-in, and property utilization. Responsibilities also include maintaining hand receipts, reconciliations, storage management, cataloging, and ensuring adherence to contract requirements, Army regulations, company standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute a variety of technical supply chain management duties to support contract requirements, ensuring compliance with facility storage, safety, accountability, and physical security plans.
- Maintain and update various menus in the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) installation master menu file, including annual field training menu schedules for Line Item A's, UGR-Heat and Serve, and UGR-A rations.
- Update installation catalogs in the Subsistence Total Order Receipt Electronic System (STORES) and prepare yearly DFAC line items for menus, ensuring alignment with Prime Vendor-provided items such as fresh produce, dairy, pastries, and beverages.
- Facilitate communication between Prime Vendors and DFAC Managers, prepare reports, and develop plans and work instructions to support the Food Program Management Officer's operational concept.
- Provide support to U.S. Active Duty, Army National Guard, Reserve Components, and training requirements in accordance with governing directives, utilizing prescribed Automated Information Systems (AIS) programs, including : Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A); Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS); Subsistence Total Order Receipt Electronic System (STORES); Various vendor contracts
- Perform requisitioning, receiving, storing, issuing, inventorying, accounting, inspecting, turn-in, and disposal functions for supply commodities (Classes I, II, IIIP, IV, limited V, VII, limited VIII, and IX).
- Verify and process supply commodities against requisition and receipt documents, identify discrepancies, conduct causative research, and notify Prime Vendors of findings as necessary.
- Assist with environmental, safety, and security-related requirements as directed.
