Analyst

Westerkamp Group, LLC is an Accounts Receivable Management company focused on hospital billing and collections. We are currently seeking an Analyst in our Houma, LA office to provide patient and third-party hospital follow-up, billing and re-billing services to our clients.

Job Description:

The experienced patient account representative will work as a member of our client team to support the efficient collection of hospital claims for our clients. This full-time position will have standard work hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contact third party payers to verify eligibility, obtain claim status and take steps to properly resolve third party claims.
• Work with Worker’s Compensation and Third-Party Liability carriers to obtain claim information and submit claims and medical records as needed.
• Review account balances and technical denials and perform steps to overturn the denials.
• Review paper correspondence and take necessary action to resolve insurance payer requests.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to adhere to strict compliance guidelines related to HIPAA.
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills.
• The ability to work with multiple patient accounting and billing systems.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to analyze and submit cash posting payment and contractual adjustment errors.
• Willingness to learn new application systems and unique billing and collection requirements of our clients.

• Proficiency in computer skills

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Hospital collections and follow-up experience preferred.
