We are growing! Westerkamp Group, LLC is an expanding company specializing in Revenue Cycle Management services in the health care industry. We are currently seeking a Credit Balance Representative in our Birmingham, AL office.
Job Summary:
The experienced credit balance representative will work as a member of our client team to support the efficient research and proper processing of credit balances on accounts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains patient and invoice files by entering and adjusting data
- Work special projects as assigned
- Ensure all proper adjustments are made to appropriate accounts
- Reconcile posted checks received with checks deposited
- Work with insurance companies and follow billing guidelines to determine who is owner of credit balance
- Process refunds to insurance companies, guarantors, and responsible parties.
Qualifications:
- Medical insurance experience
- Attention to detail
- Data Entry skills
- Must be able to read and interpret EOB's
- Flexibility
- Teamwork capacity
- Telephone communication proficiency
- Technical capacity
- HIPAA and Confidentiality knowledge
