Westerkamp Group, LLC is an expanding company specializing in Revenue Cycle Management services in the health care industry. We are currently seeking a Hospital Accounts Receivable Credit Balance Representative. This is a remote position, but please note the applicants must be located in Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Alabama.
Job Summary:
The experienced hospital accounts receivable credit balance representative will work as a member of our business office to support efficient research and proper resolution of credit balances on hospital accounts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analyzing credit balances to determine the cause of the credit balances, facilitate account resolution of credit balances and posting of refunds as needed working in the Epic patient accounting system.
- Utilize software applications, payer websites and document management systems to collect supporting documentation as required for each credit balance account. Adhere to existing standard policy and procedure while working each credit balance.
- Process and post payments, refunds and adjustments with the goal of accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and report to management any trends identified and document cash posting/credit balance/refunding issues. Maintain on-going credit balance status and financial reporting.
- Support the development of credit balance reports as required by governmental payers.
- Work with insurance companies and follow billing guidelines to determine who is the correct owner of a credit balance.
