| Job Title: After School Teacher- Peer Mentor/Homework Support | Location: Westerly Middle School |
| Class Title: Non Union-Non-Exempt | Effective Date: January 2025 *Pending Grant Funding* |
| Salary Range: $45.00/hr | Hours per week: 1-4 |
General Statement: Provide support to the educational process with specific focus on instructional and mentoring practices. This includes maintaining a positive learning environment, where all students are encouraged to participate, ask questions and generally receive the attention they deserve to effectively learn the material in a lesson plan.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitates peer tutor program and monitors implementation that meets the needs of all students.
- Follow the standardized follow-up plan to ensure implementation and best practice in the classroom.
- Works closely with Administrators.
- Keep track of attendance
- Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Knowledge of web-based alternative learning programs is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
Education:
- Bachelor degree required.
- Certification & Licensing:
- Must meet the current RI Department of Education requirements and or certifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Walk, climb stairs, bend and lift up to 45lbs.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must provide a current national background check without disqualifying results at time of hire.
