Salary Range: Per Diem | Hours per week: Part Time |
*ESY program runs from July 7- August 1 and may vary by days and times.
Job Summary: This position requires teaching and writing elementary school curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Plans and implements problem based learning units.
- Possesses knowledge and skills in differentiating learning processes, content, and assessments.
- Motivates learners.
- Collaborates and participates in development of programs that support the learning needs of all students.
- Demonstrates commitment to establishing/maintaining frequent communication with parents/guardians.
- Interest in and knowledge of history, geography, civics and government.
- Ability to adapt to the various ages within an elementary school setting.
- Proficient in technological applications and presentation.
- Possesses the ability to establish community partnerships that will support student learning.
- Adheres to the requirements and standards of the Rhode Island Department of Education Educator Evaluation process.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Knowledge of elementary curriculum, including differentiated instruction.
- Knowledge of curriculum design, lesson planning, and pedagogy, experience preferred.
- Experience in innovative, problem based instruction preferred.
- Education:
- Bachelor degree required.
- Certification & Licensing:
- Must meet the current RI Department of Education requirements and or certifications.
- Authorized to work in the USA
- Current national background check without disqualifying results at time of hire.
