Job Title : Long Term Substitute Teacher - Grade 2 Location : Dunn's Corners Elementary School Class Title : Temporary - Non Exempt Effective Date : 01 / 09 / 2025 Salary Range : $ 150.00 / Day Hours per week : Full Time
General Statement : Provide support to the educational process with specific focus on instructional and mentoring practices. This includes maintaining a positive learning environment, where all students are encouraged to participate, ask questions and generally receive the individual attention they deserve to effectively learn the material in a lesson plan.
Responsibilities :
- Manage student learning in accordance with the goals of the District.
- Implement lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate.
- Organize students for effective instruction.
- Ensure the adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students.
- Maintain and respect confidentiality of student and school personnel information.
- Comply with and support school and District regulations and policies.
- Must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students.
- Ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies.
Qualifications :
2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Must meet the current RI Department of Education requirements and or certifications.
Salary : $150
