Role and Responsibilities:
From employee relations to payroll to compliance issues, the Human Resources department helps ensure that an organization runs smoothly, and the Human Resources Manager is at the helm. Duties and responsibilities of a Human Resources Manager include:
- Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
- Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
- Ensure employee records are up-to-date
- Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date
- Investigates employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
- Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications and Education:
- 2-4 year degree (Human Resources, Business, or Equivalent)
- Valid Driver’s license
- Excellent leadership, training, and development skills
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Strong computer skills and experience with office management and communication software
- Ability to understand statistical data and mathematical concepts and how to apply them to HR processes
