What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1191-029-ER Tech - ER-WARMC-PRN - Nights- Replacement position at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center?
Provides Emergency Room technical support for physicians and nurses to optimize patient care.
All activities are under the license of the MD.
The ER Tech assists the RN’s and MDs in providing technical care of the patients by performing phlebotomy and IV starts, performing 12 lead EKGs, transporting patients to other departments, placing patient on cardiac and vital sign monitors, performs Point of Care Testing, performing wound care, inserting foley catheters, obtaining lab specimens and documenting all care/procedures provided.
Assists the Emergency Physician with technical support such as suturing simple lacerations.
Cleans equipment and workspace.
Certified EMT or Second Semester RN Nursing Student
BLS Required Upon Hire
Other duties as assigned.
