What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammography (Mammo) Tech- Full Time Days position at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center?
Western Arizona Regional Medical Center is your community healthcare provider, a 139-bed acute care facility offering the residents of the greater Bullhead City community inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic imaging, Dialysis, medical, surgical and emergency services. As a Mammo Tech, job duties range from but are not limited too:
- Operates X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures. Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
- Explains procedures and educates women about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
- Responsible for preparing and maintaining records and files
- Cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed.
- Ability to use proper judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
- Current Valid Certification in Diagnostic Mammography
Preferences:
- Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an A.M.A. approved school
- Two ( 2 years of experience in Radiology
- One (1) year of experience as a Mammo Tech
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is preferred.
