As an Ultrasound Tech, job duties range from but are not limited too:
- Performs all ultrasound procedures.
- Using independent judgment, knowledge, and initiative to perform a variety of technical procedures
- Apply ultrasound for diagnostic, therapeutic and non-peripheral vascular studies in accordance with state regulations, and departmental policies.
- Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment for the above-mentioned examinations.
- Responsible for on-call procedures when indicated
- Must demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Ability to remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment and current dynamic health care climate.
- May be assigned to take call after hours, as designated and responsible for on-call procedures when indicated.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Current Valid A.R.D.M.S Certification
- (In lieu of A.R.D.M.S certification upon hire) Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound school, or completion of a formal Radiologic Technology Program and must obtain A.R.D.M.S Certification within 12 months of hire date
- BLS
Preferences:
- One (1) year previous experience in Ultrasound.
- Current Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Current Valid Arizona Registered Technologist (CRT)
