*THIS IS A FLSA NON-EXEMPT NON SUPERVISORY POSITION*
Who We Are: The Guidance Center is a non-profit community behavioral healthcare provider serving the communities of Crawford, Franklin, Logan, Polk, Sebastian and Scott counties in western Arkansas
Who Are We Looking For?:
We have an immediate need for a Registered Nurse who is experienced and able to work independently in our Five West Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). Looking for an experienced individual with behavioral health and/or substance dependence nursing experience who possesses a positive team player attitude.
SHIFT: Weekends/ Saturday -Sunday 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM and an additional 8 hour shift during the week
Qualifications
- Current RN License in State of Arkansas
- At least two years behavioral health and/or substance dependence nursing experience preferred
- Valid State Driver’s License
- Maintain Qualified Behavioral Health Professional (QBHP) certification (Agency Training Provided)
- Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Criminal Background Check
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and supervises the nursing services for a specific Shift or Program component.
- Routine activities of a specific shift include but not limited to: medication administration, medication monitoring, vital signs, safety of the facility, guest flow, guest activities, appropriate use of the facility and the equipment
- In conjunction with the Director, assures the delivery of nursing care complies with licensing regulations and accreditation standards
- Working knowledge of Act 423
- Ensures completion of designated assessments of all guests brought to the facility, making appropriate dispositions in consultation with the clinical team in accordance with agency policy
- Ensures completion of required reports such as: incident reports; infection control reports; medication errors; adverse drug reactions; safety intervention documentation. Should be able to develop and maintain concurrent clinical documentation in accordance with Federal and State regulations regarding behavioral health care.
- Must maintain active communication while working in a collaborative environment
- Serves all clients/guests without regard to their background or history, placing the guests needs above all other considerations
