Mortgage Loan Processor

Job Summary
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for managing a designated pipeline of loans from application to clear to close. This role serves as a vital resource, offering updates and acting as the liaison between the Loan Officer, Loan Underwriter and third-party vendors to ensure a successful transaction.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with the mortgage origination and operations team; including underwriting, closing, funding, post-closing, and other internal and external departments to ensure loans are completed accurately and are within compliance.
• Collect, order, and analyze information necessary to process mortgage loan applications including but not limited to credit documentation, income, assets, title work, appraisals, surveys, homeowner’s insurance, VOE, tax transcripts and other pertinent information for a complete loan file.
• Perform research to verify employment and income, review reports from credit reporting agencies, and reviews FICO scores.
• Monitor locked loan pipeline to know what loans have upcoming lock expiration dates and follow up Loan Originator and Lock Desk.
• Ability to calculate income.
• Ensure delivery of goodbye correspondence.
• Clear and cure any loan document deficiencies required for investor funding.
• Responsible for resolving all post-purchase conditions such as sending in recorded security instruments and final title policies. These are time sensitive deadlines. Recording appropriate data and status into Encompass system.

Education and Experience:

• Two years of related experience required.
• Experience in using Encompass.
• Knowledge with agency, FHA, VA and USDA preferred.
• Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac AUS Systems

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• The typical schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Overtime, or extended hours may be occasionally required.
• Remote work is not available for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
