Description: Lumberyard Assistant
ProX a division of Western Building Center in Bonners Ferry, ID is seeking a hardworking person who takes pride in a job well done. This full-time lumberyard assistant position will give you the opportunity to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Feeling strong? Applicants must be able to lift items weighing eighty pounds. Forklift experience is recommended but not required. Materials and equipment training will be provided.
PURPOSE
Perform duties pertaining to lumberyard maintenance and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembly of lumber packages to fill customer orders
Maintain and organize inventory in lumberyard and associated warehouse
Assist customers with loading building materials in all weather conditions
Unload freight from vendors and distributors
Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
Maintain logs of equipment repair status
Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
Other duties may be assigned
COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of company products
Good customer service and communications skills
High level of organizational skills
Math skills required
Ability to work independently
Ability to read customer orders and follow safety regulations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Clean driving record
A drug test will be required prior to employment.
