Metal Production

Position Summary:

The Metal Shop Production is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the metal shop, including the production, handling, and preparation of metal components. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery such as roll formers, shears, and forklifts (with proper training).
• Measure, cut, and shape metal panels and trim according to specifications.
• Assist with loading and unloading metal materials and finished products.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet Western’s standards of excellence.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring cleanliness and organization are upheld throughout the workday.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking materials used and reporting shortages.
• Support other team members as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal shop environment is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read and understand measurements accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
