The primary location of this position is the Cullowhee, NC campus.
The Transfer and Curriculum team in the Registrar’s Office at Western Carolina University is responsible for transfer credit articulation and quality assurance processes supporting the annual publication of the University catalog. This role primarily involves working with departments and campus units to ensure the accuracy of program, course, and academic policy information to be published within the catalog. Other responsibilities include using the Banner student information system, and Modern Campus Catalog for the online catalog; responding to email inquiries and participation in the office phone queue; assisting with the physical processing and imaging of transcripts from other institutions; training student workers; and contributing to graduation and commencement processes as part of the larger Registrar’s Office staff. The successful applicant would be someone who enjoys working as part of a team and who can manage and prioritize their own time and workload; is familiar with working with the fine details of processes and who catches errors and inconsistencies in communication and data; asks questions about anything they don’t understand; and enjoys advocating for students and partnering with other departments to make processes more efficient and helpful.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

—Prior work experience utilizing computer technology and windows based programs
—Proficiency in high volume workload and keyboarding/data entry
—Extensive knowledge of university policies and procedures as related to the transfer of credit

—Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
