Job Overview
We are a busy, fast-paced primary care office seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Processing referrals and prior authorizations
- Taking patient vitals and medical histories
- Performing blood draws and administering injections
- Conducting basic in-office testing (e.g., EKGs, urinalysis)
- Assisting with X-rays, will train if no experience
- Supporting overall patient flow and clinical tasks
Ideal Candidate:
- Highly dependable and punctual
- Able to multitask and thrive in a busy environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a primary care setting preferred
- Certification in Medical Assisting a plus
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of clinical systems is essential. Athena EHR experience is a plus!
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
