Job Overview: WCCF raises between $4 and $8 million each year from a large circle of donors. This circle has continued to expand steadily. We are looking for a talented professional with strong organizational, customer service and administrative skills to join our team and support three major functions: Development and Donor Relations, Regional Outreach, and Marketing and Communications. Duties and Responsibilities:
Development and Donor Relations Support
- Serve as responsive and high touch donor service contact for current and prospective donors. This includes responding to donor inquiries, accurate and timely gift acknowledgement and processing.
- Provide support to a four-person Development Team including assisting with outreach, special events and communication activities.
- Support staff in maintaining and administering documents to ensure accuracy and consistency across all records and processes.
- Create and implement donor communications and correspondence with accuracy and timeliness
- Organize prospective donor leads and records, support the implementation of cultivation strategies and conduct research on individual prospects
- Organize donor engagement events including assistance in planning, tracking participation and staffing the event. Organize post event follow up tasks
- Support Marketing Director with content, updates, inventory, editing and other necessary functions to ensure high quality written communications
Database and Systems Coordination
- Develop and implement tracking and reporting systems for donors, prospects, and gifts using relationship management software (CSuite – CommunitySuite by Foundant); master the software, train and support donors, and assist staff in its proper use.
- Utilize database functions to design reports and metrics that align with WCCF strategic goals, ensuring accurate coding and maintenance of donor profiles and fund advisor records.
- Organize quarterly reports and coordinate the implementation of the next steps based on those reports.
- Assist with gathering data, materials, mailing lists, and implementation of bulk mailings
- Respond to requests for outside use of Center for Philanthropy meeting rooms. Coordinate and manage logistics to best ensure a positive experience for guests.
General Tasks
- Normal work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Limited travel is required in the seven (7) county area in western Colorado; out of region travel may be required for industry conferences and trainings
- Required to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events and other projects
Supervision and Reporting
- This position reports to the Director of Development and Legacy Gifts.
Job Qualifications, Competencies and Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university in a relevant field.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License.
- 3 years in a marketing and/or donor relations position, nonprofit experience preferred.
- Willingness and desire to learn basic fundraising and donor relationship skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, coordinating multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and meeting management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies rapidly and with enthusiasm.
- Demonstrated professionalism and ethical standards for handling confidential information.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail. Take pride in accuracy on simple and complex records.
- Self-starter and problem solver who is motivated and willing to embrace new work and ideas.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $25 - $27 per hour
