We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. This position involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining vehicles/equipment at various locations. Job description: Perform on-site vehicle diagnostics, maintenance and repairs. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle issues. Conduct preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, brake inspections and fluid checks. Will utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify vehicle problems accurately. Provide exceptional customer service and clearly communicate findings and repair recommendations. Maintain service records and documentation for all work performed. MUST follow safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a secure work environment. Must keep up to date with industry advancements and emerging automotive/class 8 truck technologies. Will perform service calls to various locations during business hours. On occasion, will have a service call on the weekend. Occasionally will be assigned to work in the shop if there are no field calls. Will need to keep your area and trash clean. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Qualifications: Ability to perform repairs safely, satisfactorily and in a timely manner. Must be diligent with paperwork. Must provide a clean, valid driving record and driver's license. Must be willing to submit to and pass drug testing. Must be able to work some Saturdays as needed and perform call out services on weekends and during the week. Must have own tools. Must be able to work well with co-workers and customers. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair software. Proven experience as an automotive/class 8 technician in a field service role and have strong knowledge of automotive/class 8 systems, components and repair techniques. High School Diploma or equivalent. ASE certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, crawl, climb, kneel, bend, and reach with hands above their shoulders. Must be able to lift/move anywhere up to 50-100 LBS. Must be able to lift heavy equipment and vehicle parts. Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions. Steel toe boots are required. Safety glasses are required and provided.
We offer competitive pay depending on experience. Company provided truck and tools for field service work.
