DRAFTER
We are looking for a curtainwall and storefront drafter to produce shop drawings and submittals. As a drafter, your responsibilities will include communicating with our estimator to gather product and structural requirements, calculate dimensions and material specifications, and create detailed designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will also be responsible for closeouts.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a drafter, and proficiency in CAD software. If you are detail-oriented, have a strong understanding of window and door drafting, and possess excellent technical drafting skills, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
- Drafting shop drawings to show frame elevations, dimensions, details, glass types, doors and hardware schedule
- Fully familiar with architectural and structural plans
- Able to read specifications and understand what is required for submittals
- Generate product data for submittals as required
- Order glass samples as required
- Manage submittals as it applies to sending them out to contractors, receiving them back from contractors, and resubmitting should they come back as revise and resubmit.
- Familiar with wind load requirements for frame systems
- Project closeout documents

There is no remote work for this job. Location is in the south valley in Albuquerque, NM.
Pay is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include New Mexico-mandated sick pay.
