Western Commercial Properties, Inc., is an Alaska family owned company, carrying forward a 50-year tradition of excellence in property management and commercial developments meeting the needs of Alaskan small businesses. Our portfolio includes over 50 buildings and commercial management projects for a range of investor-owners.
This position is a great fit for someone with administrative experience. The position is fast paced quite often dealing with close interaction with coworkers, commercial tenants, business partners or property owners. Successful applicants will need to be adept at answering multiple phone calls and either answer questions regarding balances due, take work order requests and field other calls to for business leasing calls or tenant satisfaction to commercial managers or bookkeeping department. Work orders are drafted by the position and often closed by the same position. Rent payments come in entered and passed off to bookkeeping. Invoices are collected and sent out to the appropriate bookkeeping staff after matching to PO whether it be property or company. Assistance with lease write up is often required as well as extensions and reports crafted by managers. Must be comfortable with phones and dealing with customers, including emergency or collection calls. We utilize a variety of software and applicant should be a quick learner. There is a lot of filing required as well.
This is a fast-paced environment - successful applicants will find days full of a large variety of situations and problem resolutions. Problem solving skills, detail orientation, listening and communication skills are key to both your success, the success of the company, and the various projects you represent. Applicants must be adept at learning new software, using MS Office Suite, and communicating professionally via email. They must also have good multitasking and time management skills and have a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Successful staff in this position often transition over time into accounting or property management roles in the the future. An optimistic and friendly personality is key to the company as the first face or first voice of the company. Its a fun, close knit, yet busy work environment.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of retail/customer service required
- Reliable transportation required
- 1 years of office experience preferred
- Strong familiarity with MS Office, learning new software
- Anchorage Based
Pay:
· Between $21-24, DOE
· Potential quarterly property performance bonuses
· Potential yearend bonus
