Job Overview:

We are seeking a Facility Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and responsible for creating a safe and organized work environment that allows for the efficient flow of materials and products into and out of the organization. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the facility is clean and organized creating more efficiency for the production area and improving safety and sanitary conditions in the facility.

Duties:

• With the leadership of the Production Supervisor, establish a schedule to clean, organize and maintain the building.
• Responsibilities will include the following:
• Daily cleaning of the building offices and bathrooms and maintaining supplies in the facility. This includes moping, vacuuming, and dusting the office furniture.
• Removal of trash from the offices and production floor.
• Cleanliness of the production floor, this includes removal of trash, sweeping and arranging.
• Daily walk around the facility looking for areas that need cleaning. This includes the shipping docks and outside grounds.
• Landscaping duties when needed.
• This position may require work on the production floor when needed; This may include stacking pallets and assisting with a core winding machine etc.
• Daily cleaning and maintenance of supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Immediately report any safety concerns.
• Required to be a team player and collaborate with various departments to meet customer satisfaction.

Skills:

• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to operate a floor scrubber machine.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Proficiency with simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to Add, Subtract, Multiply and Divide various units of measure.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit less than 1/3 of the time.
• Ability to stand greater than 2/3 of the time.
• Ability to walk greater than 2/3 of the time.
• Ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
• Ability to push, pull or lift up to 100 pounds greater than 2/3 of the time.
• Ability to use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
