Western Cooperative Credit Union's Williston Main branch has a position opening for a Loan Processor. This position is full time getting 40 hours per week. Hours will be Monday through Friday 8:00am -5:00pm.

Purpose: Verifies, compiles, and processes application information for consumer, agricultural, and commercial loans.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Processes consumer loans, home equity loans, agricultural loans and commercial loans.
  • Inputs data to create all necessary loan documents for approved loans.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of loans inputted on computer system.
  • Performs loan maintenance and error corrections on loan accounts.
  • Processes skip-a-payment requests.
  • Sends out delinquency notices when necessary.
  • Assists members with loan related questions and issues, providing basic information on loan products and rates when loan officers are not available.
  • Submits lien filings and maintenance for agricultural and commercial loans.
  • Sets up and performs maintenance on Automatic Funds Transfers.
  • Prepares and mails Adverse Actions forms to applicants within required timeframe.
  • Orders, stocks, and maintains an adequate supply of all forms, applications, brochures, and other informational material for the lending area.
  • Provides administrative assistance to the lending department where needed.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
