Tank Trailer Technician Level 1Job Summary : The Level 1 Tank Trailer Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our food-grade tank trailers. Under the supervision of experienced technicians this position is responsible for basic maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs of our specialized tank trailers.Essential Job Functions :
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure the cleanliness and integrity of food-grade tanktrailers.
- Conduct inspections to ensure all Mechanical, Electrical, and Attachmentsystems are in accordance with DOT and WDT requirements.
- Assist in the cleaning and sanitization of tank interiors following industry standards.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as brake adjustments, tire changes, and lightingrepairs.
- Assist senior technicians in making minor repairs and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and cleaning activities.
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and federal and state regulations at all times.
- Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment.
- Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance; and calling for repairs.
- Travel within designated region for service calls and temporary roadside maintenance
- Participate in training programs to develop technical skills.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's license in state of residency with acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass Department of Transportation alcohol and drug screen.
- Basic understanding of food-grade tank trailer components and systems.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest quality and work standards.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Ability to work any schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read and understand technical service manuals.Preferred :
- Vocational or Technical training in diesel mechanics, welding, or a related field
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
