What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL-Licensed Field Service Technician position at Western Diesel Services Inc?
$35/hour and up.
RMPT is looking for a CDL-Licensed Field Service Technician based out of our Brighton, CO location. This position will work with heavy-duty and off-highway equipment, including generators. You will perform scheduled and emergency installation, maintenance, and repair for a customer base spread throughout Colorado’s Front Range.
What You'll Do:
- Provide excellent customer service in the field and in the shop yard.
- Manage all aspects of critical power systems installation, start-up, and commissioning. Oversee correction of issues arising from commissioning.
- Perform diagnostic and repair procedures on all systems including PLCs, AC/DC, and switch gears.
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on electric power generation equipment, including gas and diesel engines, generators, and transfer switches.
- Coordinate with installing electrical contractors.
- Participate in an On-Call rotation.
What You'll Need:
- CDL License.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with construction equipment, powertrain components, hydraulic systems and components, or diesel and natural gas engines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability on construction equipment, axles, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulics, and diesel and natural gas engines.
- Experience with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting repairs.
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-directed and resourceful mindset. Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to provide own hand tools and appropriate storage.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
