CK Power is looking for a Staff Accountant at our St. Louis, MO location. The Staff Accountant II performs professional accounting work, including the maintenance and review of financial records, preparing various reports and financial statements, and performing a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
The Staff Accountant will:
- Perform month-end closing activities.
- Manage balance sheets, income statements and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
- Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules.
- Perform AP/AR and General Ledger activities on a weekly basis.
- Perform cost accounting of inventory.
- Measure and report KPIs related to operational performance.
The Staff Accountant needs:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5 years in operational, inventory, and/or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- High level of initiative and accountability.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in all tasks.
- Excellent ability to organize information, manage tasks and projects, and use available tools to effectively contribute to the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Willingness to work overtime to meet accounting deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents and oral communication skills.
