Job Description
As the Director of Technical Product Management at Western Digital, you will be responsible for developing and driving our product strategy and product management for datacenter SSD.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- You will complement your creativity through deep interaction with engineering, customers, customer support and partners to understand requirements and needs.
- You will be responsible for all stages of the product life cycle (conception, definition, development, release, and post-release activities) managing strategic planning, feature selection and tactical activities.
- Other responsibilities include collaborating with Product Marketing to create product-related sales and marketing materials and evangelizing the products and product strategy both internally and externally.
- BS / MS or equivalent experience required
- Strong desire to take ownership of the full product lifecycle
- Strong understanding of Flash based products
- 8 years in product management
- An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, ability, knowledge of the job, performance, contribution and results, geographic location, shift, internal and external equity, and business and organizational needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.
- You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.
