Wafer yield engineer is responsible for 1) wafer yield characterization, 2) facilitate yield improvement, 3) Wafer Fab to Backend communication and FA, as well as:

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities
Wafer yield engineer is responsible for 1) wafer yield characterization, 2) facilitate yield improvement, 3) Wafer Fab to Backend communication and FA, as well as:
- Data analysis to characterize the dependence of wafer performance/yield on wafer parameters
- Facilitate or manage wafer yield improvement projects
- Coordinate the FA for Backend related wafer issues
- Communicate with Backend for wafer issue and change
RREQUIRED
- PhD, MS in materials science, physics, EE or relevant area
- Two-year experience working in magnetic recording head
- Strong knowledge and experience of wafer processes
- Knowledgeable in the magnetic recording head, hard disk drive, or semiconductor industry
- Experienced in data mining and data analysis. Proficient in use of JMP, or other statistic tools
- Familiar with 8D and FA method
- Strong and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills. Able to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of colleagues and managements
- Good project management skills
