What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional - Library position at Western Dubuque Community Schools?
Library paraprofessional position. Working with the certified Teacher Librarian, who serves all Western Dubuque elementary libraries. Managing day to day operation of the library including book check in and check out, assisting students in finding books of interest, repairing books, organizing library materials. Candidates should have, and be able to articulate a clear vision of how they would create a welcoming environment that enhances every students' school experience. When staff shortages occur, the library paraprofessional may be needed to help support students.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a paraprofessional in Western Dubuque schools
This position is open for the 2025-2026 school year.
Hours & Days: Approximately 6.5 hours per day; 5 days per week
Starting pay for a new hire is $16.96 - $17.96 per hour.
This is a school-year position.
