What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Western Earthworks, LLC?
We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join our team! The Superintendent directly manages each project they oversee. Competitive salary based on experience.
Daily Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage, and execute construction projects; daily productivity, delegation of equipment, materials, and labor including managing scope of work, execution of plans, change orders, and monitor progress and compliance.
- Daily communication with General Superintendent and Project Manager(s) regarding project status, and job specific needs including workforce and equipment requirements.
- Collaborate with management, supervisory staff, and project manager(s) to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design issues.
- Oversees subcontractors and their quality/scope of work.
- Maintains safe working environment by identifying workplace hazards and conducts daily tailgate safety meetings.
- Maintains daily record keeping including daily logs, schedules, and timecards.
- Provides timely and accurate documentation for reporting safety issues, equipment damage and workplace injuries.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements
- Minimum of OSHA-10, OSHA-30 preferred
- CPR certified
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, reports, construction plans, construction specifications, and legal documents.
- Ability to use Procore, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, iPad and iPhone.
- Ability to communicate information efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Must possess valid drivers license and the ability to maintain satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
