Responsibilities- Operate and maintain the portable asphalt plant to ensure efficient production and high-quality output
- Monitor the production process and make adjustments as necessary to meet project specifications
- Conduct regular inspections of the equipment, diagnosing issues and ensuring it is safe and ready to run
- Work closely with paving crews to coordinate delivery and timing of asphalt materials
- Maintain accurate records of production data, material usage, and equipment maintenance
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team
- Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge about asphalt operations
- Previous experience in asphalt production or as an asphalt plant operator is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate heavy machinery
- Knowledge of asphalt production processes, safety regulations, and quality control
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to different job sites in Iowa and Nebraska
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training or certifications are a plus
