Job Description - Service Truck Driver - Tanker/HazMat
Western Engineering Co Inc is seeking a dependable and skilled Class A CDL driver with Tanker and HazMat endorsements to join our team. The ideal applicant will be willing to work flexible hours as the schedule demands with night work and weekends possible. This position may also include traveling throughout the states of Nebraska and Iowa dependent on job locations. The candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of a commercial vehicle while maintaining a thorough understanding of DOT rules and regulations. Applicants will need to be self-motivated
Responsibilities
- Transport fuel, water and supplies to job sites in a timely and safe manner
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate effectively with the crew Foreman and team members regarding schedules and needs
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation
- Assist in fueling and watering of equipment as needed
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with HazMat and Tanker endorsements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing work conditions
- Successfully pass a Pre-Employment DOT drug screening.
