What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Counter Sales position at Western Equipment Llc?
Purpose: Responsible for selling, receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories. In addition, performs instore customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
- Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs
- Handles customer needs for the entire transactional process looking up parts, pulling parts, selling parts, loading out parts
- Responsible for the entire inventory process with Non-Deere parts receipting the parts under the price specified from the vendor and then, marking-up price to ensure gross margin.
- Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
- Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
- Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
- Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the Warehouse Manager/Parts Manager Does not act on the shortages
- Listens and records potential customer needs or sales/service leads
- Will assist in the auditing of customer orders in the customer bins through making the > 14 day warning call
- Regularly stocks showroom as needed
- Assist in keeping the parts department clean and orderly
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Must be respectful and diligent when representing Western Equipment
- Basic data entry/ keyboarding skills
- Basic parts and machinery knowledge
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Fork lift license preferred
