This position is hybrid out of our Irvine, CA office. Job Description SummaryThis position reports to the Manager, H-2A Services and is responsible for managing the H-2A cases for member clients. The incumbent helps clients navigate the complex process of applying for the H-2A visa. This includes helping them gather the necessary documents and paperwork required by government agencies, providing superior customer service and support throughout the application process, and assisting with any issues that arise during the application process.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferred.Minimum of 1 year of experience in immigration case management; H-2A case management, preferred.Strong knowledge of H-2A regulations and compliance requirements.Understanding and ability to use FLAG system.Exceptional attention to detail with high degree of accuracy, and organizational skills, able to meet deadlines, adjust to changing priorities, and ability to perform well under pressure.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.Strong ability to work independently, organize work efficiently and maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with clients and team members.Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.Basic understanding of agricultural business models, production cycles, and crops, with experience working for H-2A employers and knowledge of state-specific filing requirements preferred. Internet access provided by a cable or fiber provider with 40 MB download and 10 MB upload speeds.Home router with wired Ethernet (wireless connections and hotspots are not permitted).A designated room for your office or steps taken to protect company information (e.g., facing computer towards wall, etc.)A functioning smoke detector, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit on site.Duties And ResponsibilitiesCase ManagementInitiate preparation of job orders, immigration forms, company letters, recruitment reports, responses to deficiency notices, and other legal documents necessary to successfully apply for H-2A certification from case inception to completion.Collaborate with clients to address their labor needs within the confines of the H-2A program regulations. Craft job descriptions that meet state and U.S. Department of Labor standards. Manage application deadlines to ensure best chances for timely worker arrival and track case status. Respond to Notices of Deficiency and Requests for Evidence Counsel clients when emergencies arise, like crop failures, catastrophic weather events, and global pandemics. Gather necessary documentation for the Form I-129 and work with team members to ensure timely filing of unnamed petitions and named petitions.Client SupportProactively provide clients with consistent, accurate and timely status updates.Timely respond to client inquiries about the H-2A visa process.Guide clients through the application process, preparing their government agency filings with the State, Department of Labor, and Department of Homeland Security. Act as intermediary to visa facilitators and recruiters and work with them to help address visa processing and logistics issues. Provide audit support for clients.
