Responsibilities
- Direct Care: Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and take full responsibility for resident care.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with physicians, supervisors, and families to ensure the best care for residents.
- Assessment & Supervision: Complete resident assessments and supervise LPNs in gathering important data.
- Workforce Coordination: Partner with the Director of Nursing to manage special care needs, resident transfers, and staffing workload.
- Admissions & Family Involvement: Plan for resident admissions and involve families in the care process.
- Comfort & Support: Provide emotional and physical comfort to residents and offer families support.
- Leadership: Supervise and guide Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), supporting their development and ensuring top-quality care.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state-approved nursing program.
- Current Iowa LPN license.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
