What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Head Start/Head Start Home Visitor position at Western Indiana Community Action Agency, Inc.?
BASIC Function:
Works with Head Start families and children to provide an in-home comprehensive age appropriate, safe, and child centered environment that will insure all child issues are addressed in a timely and positive manner in accordance with federal, state, local, and Agency rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
MINIMUM Qualifications:
· Child Development Associate (CDA) required; Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
· Experience teaching preschool children and/or case management preferred.
· Must have knowledge of early childhood education.
· Must be able to travel within Vigo, Clay and Putnam Counties.
· Must have documented ability to:
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
- Meet and work well with the public.
- Operate PC with working knowledge of Microsoft software applications including Windows, Microsoft Office, and related program software.
- Display an ability to learn and utilize new/custom software applications as required.
- Work well with and without supervision, and with other staff.
