JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary /Objective
This position is responsible for tracking receiving schedules and provide organization to the department to ensure that products are received correctly and on time. The clerk will assign loads to the receiving personnel and notify them of any specific requirements needed to store products. The receiving clerk must maintain inventory counts and quality procedures for incoming shipments.
Essential Function

- Review shipment status from ERP System & Excel Sheets
- Properly account for the location of incoming goods
- Unload and unload shipments of products
- Inspect shipments for damaged and correct quantities
- Prepare and organize receive stock for inventory
- Receive the product in the system
- Monitor inventory levels
- Personnel notification of receipts, file and distribute paperwork
- Pull product for production as required
- Operate computer to locate product data
- Provide assistance for other team members of the warehouse team, when necessary
Work Environment
This job will be performed in a production setting that does experience extreme heat and moderate to loud noise levels. This position will routinely work on the production floor around industrial equipment including: motors, motor control centers, water coolers, air compressors, grinders, CNC machines and other hand tools. The production equipment may have exposure to hazardous materials.
Physical Demands
Standing, walking, bending, stooping for long periods of time, grip/grasping, twisting, reaching above head, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 0-75 pounds, use of hand tools and/or power tools, and other industrial equipment; Able to work in a manufacturing environment with extreme heat up to 120 degrees; Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time hourly position that works a scheduled 8 hour shift listed below:
- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
Overtime may be voluntary or mandatory. Departments may be required to work holidays and weekend’s
Qualifications
Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and systematic approach to problem solving
- Ability to work with little to no supervision
- Must have verbal and written communication skills
- Safety awareness- Identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety and enforce safety standards at all times.
- Has a clear understanding of warehouse receiving procedures
- Able to conduct daily inventory, resolves inventory problems, and completes the required form correctly
Required Experience
- High School Diploma is preferred
- 6 months or more of previous warehouse receiving experience is preferred
- 6 months or more of forklift experience is preferred
Additional Education and Experience
Ability to be forklift certified
Work Authorization/ Security Clearance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
