What are the responsibilities and job description for the California Work Comp Claims Examiner position at Western International Staff?
Direct Hire California Workers Compensation Examiner / Adjuster remote opportunity in state of California .
Must reside in California and have experience handling CA Workers Comp indemnity claims
In this position you will :
Investigate high exposure indemnity California Arizona workers comp claims/ Hire outside vendors if necessary
Analyze applicable coverage and determine compensability / benefits
Establish initial reserves and continue to keep reserves current update them as necessary
Maintain contact with insureds and claimants
Complete large loss reports
Responsible to settle claims / Work with defense attorneys as necessary / Attend Settlement conferences as necessary
We are seeking the following qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years experience handling high exposure California work comp claims
CA Certification
Highly skilled at developing strategies to resolve claims
Exceptional communicator
Industry designations are a plus
Carrier experience is a plus
