Job Description
The purpose of this position is to coordinate Police Science instructional programs and course activities including scheduling, curriculum development, curriculum committee activity, program academic outcomes assessment, purchasing, recruitment and student support.
This is a full-time, grade 8, administrative position with an annual wage of $64,835 Benefits include health and dental, long-term disability and group life insurance; retirement, tuition waiver; paid vacation, sick leave and holidays.
- Coordinate full-time and part-time faculty teaching assignments.
- Assist with management of course schedules, registrations, enrollments and program budget in coordination with the Associate Dean.
- Coordinate all communications and activities related to the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA).
- Recruit, orient and train Adjunct Instructors.
- Facilitate classroom materials, books, supplies, and equipment needs.
- Recruit and advise students on course program and curriculum.
- Oversee course level and NACEP assessments for courses in Police Science.
- Ensure program reviews are completed every five years.
- Represent the division at committees as assigned by the Associate Dean.
- Coordinate Police Science activities and events.
- Use excellent communication and human relation skills.
- Use database applications to create and manage files and communicate information, maintaining confidentiality.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Administration and management experience.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Teach 12 credit hours per academic year.
