Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach in all aspects of the soccer program, with specific responsibilities for recruiting, scheduling, and leading the second team, according to the NJCAA and Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) rules and regulations. The position requires collaboration, initiative, and a strong understanding of player development and team management. This coach will be responsible for creating a positive, competitive, and inclusive environment aligned with the program’s vision and goals.

Second Team Leadership
- Serve as the Head Coach of the second team, overseeing all practices, matches, and player development.
- Develop and implement training sessions tailored to the growth and readiness of second-team players.
- Evaluate second-team players regularly to identify progression and opportunities for promotion to the first team.
Recruiting
- Lead recruitment efforts for both teams, with an emphasis on building a competitive and diverse second team roster.
- Actively scout and maintain relationships with high school coaches, club programs, and potential recruits.
- Assist the Head Coach with first-team recruiting as needed.
Scheduling
- Coordinate second team game schedules, including securing opponents, arranging venues, and managing travel logistics.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to ensure second team games and practices align with the first team’s schedule to maximize facility use and staff availability.
Training & Practice
- Assist in planning and leading training sessions for both teams.
- Ensure training plans are aligned with program objectives and tailored to player development.
- Provide individual coaching and feedback to players.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the Head Coach to ensure alignment in program culture, tactics, and standards.
- Attend all coaches’ meetings, game film sessions, and program events.
- Support the Head Coach with administrative tasks, player check-ins, and team communication as needed.
Additional Duties
- Assist with game-day operations for both teams.
- Support fundraising, team-building, and community outreach efforts.
- Participate in camps, clinics, and other program events as directed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Department.
The purpose of this position is to direct and supervise student on-campus housing as well as maintaining established policies and standards. The Supervisor is required to live on campus in an apartment at WITCC student housing.
RESPONSIBILITIES HOUSING SUPERVISOR:
- Plan student-oriented events with an emphasis on intentional interaction and retention.
- Assist student Resident Assistant training and meetings.
- Assist in inventory documentation for all Housing units.
- Schedule cleaning, repairs, and maintenance.
- Conduct monthly room and building checks.
- Enforce housing policies and issue warnings and fines.
- Provide intervention and serve as liaison for residents.
- Market student housing to internal and external customers.
- Support supervision of student Resident Assistants and work studies.
- Assist in resident financial aid and payment verification.
- Use excellent communication and human relation skills.
- Use database applications to create and manage files and communicate requested information, maintaining confidentiality.
This is a full-time, grade 5, administrative position with a starting wage of $39,057. Supervisors are required to live on campus in an apartment at WITCC student housing. Weekend on-call rotation required as well as occasional evening responsibilities which could include holidays. Fulltime benefits include health, dental, long-term disability and life insurance; retirement, tuition waiver; vacation, sick leave and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Experience coaching applicable sport at the high school or college level.
- Bachelors preferred.
- Previous experience working with and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.
- State of Iowa coaching authorization or ability to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license. Commercial Driver’s License preferred or willing to obtain.
